Joe Conway, a screenwriter, actor, and English teacher, cultivated his love for writing and film at his teaching job at Saint Stephen's, an Austin, Texas private school. Teaching sophomores books like "The Catcher in the Rye", a specialized class on screenwriting, and senior classes on Irish literature, he became a favorite teacher on campus, known for his humorous annual lectures in the school's chapel. Conway brought director David Gordon Green to the school's campus for a screening of Green's first feature, George Washington. Soon after, Conway found himself co-writing the script for Undertow (2004), Green's third feature, due out in April. Conway looks forward to a long and rewarding career in screenwriting.
