Joanne Miller is a writer, actor and comedienne whose work has appeared on stage, screen and radio. Her plays Cradle and All, Habit of Murder, and Snow Globe have sold out in many theatre across Canada. In 2014, her sit com, Dear Stella, was voted top 30 in CBC's Comedy Coup pitch contest. As an actor, she has worked across Canada at the Stratford Shakespearean Festival, Theatre Passe Muraille, Carousel, The Globe, Persephone, The Grand, TNB, Chester Playhouse, Neptune Theatre, Stephenville, the Banff Centre for the Arts as well as many others. Her work has been recognized with nominations for two Merritt Awards and an Actra Award. She played the lead on CBC's popular series Backbencher, which won a New York Festivals award. She also played the lead in the Gemini award-winning TV series Olliver's Adventures. She has written with Alive Theatre and comedy segments for CBC. You can watch her in her own created comedy works MJs Wall on Youtube. Her one-woman comedy show entitled God Made Me This Way is soon to be released online. Joanne plays Justina Epp on CBC's PURE.
