Jim Cirile is screenwriter/producer/artist/musician journalist living in Los Angeles. Raised in New York, he graduated with a combination art/film degree from SUNY Purchase and has a Certificate in Screenwriting from UCLA Professional Program. After getting his start at NY low-budget indie horror prodco Reeltime, where he eventually wound up writing and coproducing several low-budget horror films, he moved to LA and became a production assistant and then later assistant coordinator on movies and TV shows such as Totally Hidden Video, Delirious, Dutch, How'd They Do That?, Playboy 360, And You thought Your Parents Were Weird, among others. His first screenwriting deal for New Sky Pictures("Guido," never filmed.) He had a multi-picture deal with Cinepix (later Lionsgate) which yielded three produced actioners -- Hardball, Bounty Hunters and Bounty Hunters 2. In 2002 Jim founded Coverage Ink and has helped develop thousand of screenplays. He cowrote and executive produced the award-winning pilot Liberator starring Lou Ferrigno, Michael Dorn, Peta Wilson and Ed Asner. He also cowrote and is co-executive producing the animated horror feature Malevolent, starring Morena Baccarin, Ray Wise and Bill Moseley. A long-time columnist for Creative Screenwriting and Script magazines, Jim also wrote for Weekly World News and writes for Progression magazine. He is the cofounder of Coverage Ink Films with Tanya Klein and the creator of Blackbeard for Men. Show less «
