Jia Doughman is an Ovation Nominee for her L.A. stage debut as Grace in Opus at the award winning Fountain Theatre, for Best Acting Ensemble. Ever since she stepped in front of the camera performing violin at the age five, she continued her on camera work in acting, violin and dance. She has lived a third of her life in NE China and two thirds in the United States. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English. She graduated with a Master of Fine Art in acting at American Repertory Theatre at Harvard/MXAT--One of the top five acting schools in the nation.Among her many stage portrayals include roles in the Phonecian Woman at Moscow Art Theatre in Moscow, and The Room, The Lacy Project, and Donnie Darko, all at ART. In New York, she was in the world premiere of Runnaway, and while working in Seattle, she was a member of the sketch comedy group Pork Filled Players, a troop which performed at city's Fringe Fest, among other venues. On film, she can be seen on Jet Lag, The Knew It All, Lost in China and Symphoria. She is a proud member of Actor's Equity.
