Jessy Leros is an actor/ musician who was born in Maracaibo, Venezuela, to Dr. Judith Rosas, a Research and Development Specialist, and Jesus Leon, a professor, financial advisor and businessman. He is of French, Spanish, and Incan descent.Jessy began his acting career shortly after coming to the United States when he was approached by Anna Brennen, a respected theatre director, while performing a classical guitar recital. He was asked to audition for the part of Pablo Picasso in Steve Martin's Picasso at the Lapin Agile. After this performance, he went on to participate in the Broadway Theatre Project under the direction of Tony award winner Ann Reinking. This later earned him a scholarship to study voice performance with Seth Riggs in Los Angeles, CA, where he also attended The Ivana Chubbuk Studio for acting training.Acting and music have always flowed together for Jessy, and while pursuing his acting career, he has managed to also build a highly talented ensemble of musicians who play together in concerts around the country. His band, House Of Leros, was founded by him and his two brothers Jesus and James. They have been featured collaboratively and as individual performances at the Hard Rock Music Festival, Burn the Floor Dance Tour, The Straz Center, Ruth Eckerd Hall, Sarasota Opera House, Santa Monica Auditorium, LA, Kendeda Center, Atlanta, The Delano Miami, and many more.In most recent years, Jessy has diligently studied under acting instructor Kathy Laughlin in her workshop in Tampa, FL. His credits include the critically acclaimed performance in the independent film Drink, and the crossover Telemundo/ NBC mini-series Las Princesas/ Off Script. His stage performances include a variety of plays, including Briefs (a selection of original plays), Kiss of the Spider Woman and La Familia, and as a musical performer in The Rose Tattoo and the award winning musical adaptation of House of Bernarda Alba.
