Jessie Barr is an actor, writer and filmmaker. Once on the track to become a professional dancer with the Washington School of Ballet she began acting in plays and musicals as a child. She attended NYU, Tisch School of the Arts where she double majored in Theater and English & American Literature. Jessie is the lead in the critically acclaimed online series OM City which she created, wrote and produced with her husband and writing partner Tom O'Brien. OM City is a 2016 Tribeca Film Festival Selection, a New York Times TV Critic's Pick, a 2016 Independent Television Festival Selection, a 2015 Vimeo Staff Pick, voted Best Web Series of 2015 by Decider.com and a Top Pick for "Web to Watch" by USA Today. IndieWire hailed it as "refreshing," "honest and relatable". Decider.com calls it "heartfelt and hilarious".
