Jesse Scott Nelson was born February 17 in Rogers, Arkansas. Growing up, he lived in Texas, Oklahoma, Germany, and all around southeast Georgia before moving out to California in pursuit of acting. Moving often as a child, caused Mr. Nelson to see how people are so different, but essentially the same, as well. This also instilled a sense of adventure and a love of the road. If given the opportunity, Mr. Nelson prefers to drive rather than fly because there's an intimacy between the road and the driver that you can't get in an airplane. During his high school years, Mr. Nelson was in every play the drama department offered, as well as every dramatic interpretation competition, in which he won 1st place at regionals. In 11th grade, Hollywood came to Georgia in the feature film Undertow. While waiting to audition for a background role, Mr. Nelson met the Director David Gordon Green (Pineapple Express, Your Highness). Mr. Green said that Jesse was too old for the background role but liked him enough that he wrote a part for him anyway. After high school, Mr. Nelson moved out to Los Angeles to start his career. However, Georgia Southern University offered him a full ride scholarship if he came back. Mr. Nelson's interest in people influenced his decision to get a B.S. degree in Psychology. Throughout college, he participated in many theatrical endeavors as well as taking several acting classes. After college, Mr. Nelson loaded up his 1997 Red Pontiac Firebird headed out for the west coast. Since then, he has become a proud member of SAG-AFTRA. Since his arrival, Mr., Nelson has worked on several indie films and continues to collaborate with other acting focus groups. Currently, Mr. Nelson has found another passion, writing. He is currently (2014) working on writing and filming the 1st season of his webseries, Roomshare. Show less «
