A graduate of the University of Florida, Jes Macallan's interest in the arts began early. A classically trained dancer, she studied from the age of three for 18 years and still practices today. She later modeled in Miami, New York and Milan while earning a bachelors degree in International Marketing from the University of Florida with a study abroad term at the prestigious Bocconi University in Milan. After graduation she lived in Los Angeles for a few years gaining traction booking commercials and working for casting directors and interning for executives. She then relocated to New York City for an intensive Meisner based study program at the Maggie Flanigan Studio. With a strong foundation she returned to Los Angeles and began working full time as an actor.Jes has been a series lead on the ABC network show "Mistresses" for four seasons. While on hiatus from "Mistresses", Jes starred in the film, "The Mentor", released in 2014, starred in the sci-fi thriller "Thirst", in 2015, was the lead in the rom-com Christmas film, "The Engagement Clause", released Christmas 2016, and was one of the leads in an ensemble cast for the digital film series, "Relationship Status", which recently screened at the Tribeca Film Festival with critical accolades and a nationwide release on Verizon's new digital media platform Verizon Go90. In February 2017 Macallan starred in "An Uncommon Grace", part of Hallmark's Movies and Mysteries Channel. When it released the ratings reflected the highest rated and most watched February original movie premiere in Hallmark Movies & Mysteries history. Macallan's past television credits include the pilot "Crash and Burn", executive produced by Tony Hawk, the series "Red Band Society", for Fox Network, "Shameless", "NCIS: Los Angeles", "Justified", "The Protector", and "Grey's Anatomy". Jes's past film credits include "Kiss me", directed by Jeff Probst, with John Corbett, Rita Wilson, and Sarah Bolger, "Being Bin Laden" written by Ricky Blitt (co-producer of Family Guy) and the independent feature "Ocean's 7-11". She is an ambassador for the Best Friends Animal Society, and a heavy supporter and participator in the Rally For Kids With Cancer Charity events to support the SickKids Hospital in Toronto, Canada.
