Jerry Liau (Yi Yang; Yee Yeung) is a Chinese-American performing artist and a disciple of Jackie Chan. He has a strong martial arts background in Ving Tsun, Tai Chi, Shaolin, and traditional weaponry. He is the fourth descendant of Bruce Lee's original martial arts teacher, Ip Man. Jerry's other talents include Vocalist, Hip-Hop Break Dancing, Parkour, and horse-back riding.Jerry's many talents, screen presence and charisma have catapulted his career within the Asian market. He can be seen in numerous commercials, music videos, print and in notable Asian action films such as Wing Chun White Crane: Rise of the Scroll, Music Man, Little Big Soldier, and Under the Gun. Additionally, Jerry is a member of Jackie Chan's vocal and performance group 'New Lucky 7'.Jerry started his entertainment career in 2008 when he participated in Beijing TV's Jackie Chan's 'The Disciple,' a world-wide televised competition show in search for the next generation of action actors. Jerry won 3rd Place and is one of the few chosen to be Jackie Chan's disciples (out of over 250,000 competitors).Jerry started his martial arts training under Moy Yee San Jong. As the fourth descendant of the Ip Man lineage, he received the Kung Fu name of Yi Yang; Yee Yeung. In addition to Ving Tsun, he also has a strong foundation for Tai Chi, Shaolin, and traditional weaponry. Some of the weapons include the Wu Dang Sword, which was passed down from Grandmaster Lui Gwok Chun. Grandmaster Lui Gwok Chun was also teacher to Zheng Pei Pei and the Lucky Seven (Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung, etc). Show less «
