On August 13, 2019, Jerome David (Jerry) George died suddenly in Palm Springs, California at age 63. Jerry was born on October 29, 1955 in Bristol, PA to David and Kathryn (King) George. Jerry completed a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies from the University of Florida, Tampa in 1979. In 1977, Jerry married Michelle George (Parmentier) in Florida. They raised two sons, Zachary George and Patrick George in Santa Monica, CA. Jerry was employed by the National Enquirer/American Media, Inc. in 1985. Jerry started in Lantana, Florida before moving to Santa Monica, Ca where he earned the titles of Senior Editor and West Coast Bureau Chief before leaving in 2013. Jerry was a Long-Term substitute teacher for the Los Angeles Unified School District after leaving the National Enquirer. Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Dave and his mother Kathryn, his brothers John Vincent (Jackie) and Dave George, two nephews Joseph Tafe George, David Peter George and one niece Theresa Ann McCarrie (George). He is survived by his ex-wife Michelle George, FL, his sons Zachary George and Patrick George, in Los Angeles, CA, one sister, Kathleen Binkley of Bristol, PA, and his spouse John Toia, LA, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
