In mythic Hollywood fashion, Jennifer Mann (Joanie) was discovered by Anthony Hopkins and Stella Arroyave, while working tables as a waitress in a Los Angeles coffee shop.Jennifer was born in Saratoga Springs, New York and grew up in Ottawa, Canada before moving West to pursue her dreams. What started out as just another normal day in the life of the aspiring actress turned out to be anything but. Jennifer was working her shift at a Belgian coffee and pastry shop when she realized that the couple at "table 15" -- a beautiful woman and distinguished gentleman hidden beneath a red baseball cap -- were Stella Arroyave and Anthony Hopkins. She finally worked up the nerve to ask the Oscar-winning actor if he'd care for "some fava beans and a nice Chianti". Her joke was met with stony silence. . . then Hopkins laughed and said he'd love some. Jennifer left the couple to themselves to attend to her other tables and when she returned, Stella asked if she was an actor. They began talking about shooting their next film, "Slipstream", in the desert and ultimately asked her to read for the film, Hopkin's next directorial project. One week after the audition, she was contacted by producer Robert Katz to come back and meet with Hopkins, officially, and start work on her first major film.Jennifer studied at The Beverly Hills Playhouse and is a published photographer as well as a dedicated student of Anusara Yoga who has appeared in Yogi Times. She currently resides in Los Angeles with her two dogs; Audrey Hepburn and Lyndon Johnson.
