Jennie Floyd is an American actress. Born in Alabama, she has been singing and dancing since the age of three, and after retiring early from a successful business career in 2001, she appeared in a community theatre production of "Little Shop of Horrors" and has been acting ever since. Jennie was an excellent student and attended the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) on a full scholarship. She excelled at UAH, graduating Summa Cum Laud and winning awards for Most Outstanding Business Student and Management Student.Jennie has extensive credits on stage, in film and TV, and on the web. She has appeared in numerous student and short films, including award winners "Reflections of a Life" and "Death by Scrabble," a silent film in which she played the lead. Her first lead role in a feature film was in the all-improvised "Child of God," directed by independent auteur Alejandro Adams in San Jose. She also has supporting roles in the independent films "Justice on the Border," "Mommy and Me," "Divine Unrest," and "The Best Sex," and a featured role in the Seth Rogen comedy, "For a Good Time Call..." On TV, she has a impressive number of credits in the re-enactment genre, appearing in several episodes of "I Didn't Know I was Pregnant" and "1000 Ways to Die" as well as in a lead role in "I'm Alive." Jennie also was featured in the critically acclaimed web comedy, "Held Up," from the writing team of the Sklar Brothers.Jennie is a prolific stage actor, and has performed Shakespeare as well as musical theatre, opera and original plays on San Francisco Bay Area stages. After moving to LA, in August of 2009 she won her first LA stage role, performing "Ally" in the award-winning monologues show,"Sex, Relationships, and Sometimes...Love," by Joelle Arqueros. A member of SkyPilot Theatre Company since 2011, she has performed leads in the world premieres of "Rewind," "To the New Girl...," and "Plane Talk." Jennie also produced "To the New Girl" and SkyPilot's first romantic comedy, "Lights Off, Eyes Closed," to critical and commercial acclaim.Jennie is a member of SAG-AFTRA and works regularly in both comedic and dramatic roles.
