Known for his work on the stage in the New England Area and role in NYC Fringe Festival. Ararat prides himself in his ability to articulate different accents and live through and explore different characters.Jeff Ararat was born in Providence, RI. Raised in neighboring Pawtucket and Central Falls, A product of 1st generation immigrants by way of Colombia. Ararat experienced 1st hand and witnessed the obstacles and hurdles that his parents went through to become successful in this country, crucial events and upbringing says Ararat, "They are relentless (Parents) I don't think they know what the word ""NO" means they would work multiple jobs, frequently travel to NYC which is 3 hours away to buy wholesale goods and later sell them at profit and as well as manage a food truck business to feed 3 mouths, all why not knowing a lick of English." This exposure certainly didn't leave any room for Ararat or his 2 sisters to become shy as they would often have to translate for their parents. " I think walking in on and talking to so many people of different cultures and ways of life at such an early age, set me up to become an observer and storyteller whether i knew it or not at the time."Ararat enlisted as an Infantrymen in the RI National Guard and deployed to Kandahar, Afghanistan in the Summer of 2011." It was the morning after The Oscars, the camp (Camp Nathan Smith) cafeteria was playing a rerun of it and I walked just in the perfect time to hear Viola Davis' s speech after wining Best Actress for her role in "The Help". She gave a shout out to Central Falls !? I was dumbfounded that here this Oscar Wining Artist just gave a shout out to the smallest town in the smallest state of the country! I will never forget that day or the feeling i got after watching that speech. I never acted or even as much enjoy public speaking or was a leader at the time in the army to have any sort of charisma" says Ararat. " But in some weird way..it confirmed that i wanted to Act." "After his 9 month deployment with Rhode island's 1-182 IN BN Alpha Company that's exactly what Ararat did. Jeff Attended NY Conservatory Of Dramatic Arts. After getting his feet wet and honing his craft, he found himself to achieve as a 2015 ACTF Region 1 finalists in Irene Ryan Acting Competition. Has acted in numerous plays in the New England Area before entertaining roles in film . His final year enlisted in the Active Duty, Ararat was in the lead role as Sgt Jason Jones in the traveling play "Second Chance" Directed by Russell Jordan and funded by the Department of Defense as part of a suicide prevention program initiative to demonstrate real world problems effecting soldiers today through performing arts army wide in various military bases.Currently his making a run and building his resume for film. " I was always a bigger fan of TV & film much more than plays. I actually resented plays starting out cause i was ignorant to the fact its not all musicals" Ararat shakes his head "What? i didn't know! Now i love plays and alot more tolerable to musicals. I honestly believe as an Actor you NEED both. In life you need to learn how to sow and how to bleed. You sow on the camera and bleed on the stage. Ouu i think im going to patent that qoute...im on to something huh? "Jeff Ararat currently resides in El Paso, TX. Show less «
