Jayce Basques's career began as the lead role of Santa Clause in Immaculate Conception School's critically acclaimed kindergarten production of "The Littlest Christmas Tree" in the town of Port Perry in Ontario, Canada. The fame and publicity of such a controversial role forced the young Basques to take a leave of absence and temporary hiatus from the stage. As a product of the San Francisco Bay Area rock scene, Basques and best friend/collaborator Jeffrey Scott Harber began playing and writing music influenced by local acts such as Green Day and Tom Waits. Frequenting venues such as Slims, 924 Gilman St and Bottom of the Hill. With time, the two formed quasi-post-hardcore radio rock outfit called Aphasia; ultimately being produced by Trapt's Chris Brown and signing to DRT Entertainment along with Blindside, Clutch and GWAR. Ultimately, Aphasia would go on to tour extensively throughout the US to wildly manic-depressive turnouts consisting of between tens to thousands mildly enthused fans. Aphasia's celebrity reached their zenith with the placement of their single "Flatline" in War of the Worlds (2005).With a genre shift towards more complex musicianship, and with the addition of Aaron Prim and Adam Humphrey, the band became soul-pop act DownDownDown; releasing several EPs and serving as live touring band for 'Universal Motown Records Group [us]' artist Damato. At the conclusion of high school and Basques returned to theater as "Goldberg" in the west coast premiere of "The Wild Party" prior to being accepted into the prestigious Meisner Technique Studio to study under Jim Jarrett along with the likes of Emilie Germain, Dee Marshall and Marie Noelle Marquis.Upon graduation, Basques' acting became all the more prolific having booked and filmed several projects starting in the summer of 2011, often living in his car for months at a time. Also, as a product of both film and music, Basques signed to 'Ford Models [us]' and has been featured on publications and campaigns worldwide. Show less «
