Jay De Leon was born on November 7, 1998 in Melbourne, Australia as Jason Mathew Korfiatis. Following Jay's graduation from Balwyn High School in 2017, he decided to pursue his passion of acting after being motivated to entertain and inspire those around him.Jay's most notable credits include his lead role in international Greek short film entitled "Song of the Moon", which is currently being entered into international festival circuits, as well as his role in the indie short film "If Only You Knew" and "Jack In The Box". Commercially, Jay has worked with companies such as Nandos and Tiktok Australia.During his first years acting, Jay decided not to pursue formal training, applying himself to every audition he could find, amassing an array of leading roles in short films, learning from each role and each individual he interacted with in the industry. Following his year of experimentation, Jay's second year was spent worked with personal acting coaches, learning and implementing everything he had been taught in an attempt to further fine-tune his craft.After enjoying the combination of both on-the-job learning and training, Jay's following years were spent immersed in learning, which consisted of completing The Actors Foundry course, taught by Matthew Harrison, as well as short courses at the Howard Fine Studio. In addition to this, Jay works consistently with his coaches in order to further deepen his craft and the authenticity he brings to every role. Jay utilizes all he learns from industry professionals, and applies them every opportunity he gets. Whether it's a short film, feature film, commercial, or even if it is an audition, Jay attempts to use everything he's taught to become a well-rounded and experienced actor.Apart from pursuing acting, Jay is also an avid photographer and videographer, partaking in trips to travel and film the natural wonders this world has to offer.
