Jax was born in Ballwin, MO, attended public school, then moved to Chicago and received a B.F.A. in Acting from the Theatre School at DePaul University. Now, Jax lives in New York City.Most of Jax's career has taken place in the theatre. After a hiatus from acting in 2011-2012, Jax returned to the stage to become the first openly transgender performer at The Goodman Theatre in Chicago.Jax was formerly known as Jacqui, prior to beginning transition and living openly as a transgender man in 2012.
