Jason Pennell started his acting career at the age of 12, first appearing in a leading role on April 23rd, 1990 in a theatrical performance called, "In Search of the Perfect Song". Jason continued his involvement with theatre throughout his childhood and later began appearing in small film roles including a small appearance in the 2001 film "Midwives". During the early 2000's, Jason moved to Toronto and begin acting in commercials and small, independent films while represented by Fulcher Talent. After leaving Fulcher Talent, Jason self-represented himself and from 2005 to 2012, worked in a wide range of projects including commercials as well as several appearances in small, independent films and corporate videos until being picked up by Faces And Places Talent Agency in 2012. Work on more commercials and TV shows continued including appearances on two episodes of the TV show "Motives and Murders" in 2014. At the same time, Jason was playing in several hard-hitting rock bands as a lead vocalist. One project called, "The Red Sands" toured locally in and around the Toronto Ontario and Barrie Ontario areas as well as playing festivals in St.Catharines Ontario in 2011. In 2021, Jason began working with Maya Ritter from Ritter Talent Agency, appearing in several television shows, commercials and movie roles including lead roles in short films "Eyes For You" (2021), "Entropic" (2021) and "Unsavoury" (2022). Movie roles include "Unknown Hero" (2021), and "Painted Sharks" (2021). TV appearances include Episode 309 of "An Unexpected Killer" (2021) as well as a lead role in episode 801 of "Fear Thy Neighbour" (2022). Jason is also a serious student of martial arts, beginning his training in karate at the age of 8. He has competed internationally including competing in the 1st International Karate Tournament in Naha, Okinawa in 2018. He also competed in Gardena, California in 2017 where he placed 1st.
