Jason K. Allen is a writer and filmmaker from Nashville, TN. He is also a wilderness guide, nature photographer and published author. His writing credits include the feature film Lucky Fritz and the award-winning short films The Man from Everywhere, American Sock and The Painful Side of the Pillow.Allen has won best screenplay honors at the San Diego Film Awards, Mountain of Laughs Comedy Fest, Milledgeville Film Festival, Artlightenment Film Fest and TSA Screenwriting Awards, and is a seven-time finalist of the Nashville Film Festival Screenwriting Awards. His scripts have also been finalists in the prestigious ScreenCraft and ScriptVamp international competitions.Most recently, three films written by Allen - Beyond the Grid, Autumn Lovers & American Sock - garnered eight nominations and won three awards at the 2017 Mountain of Laughs Comedy Fest. His script "Raven Point" is a finalist at the 2017 Nashville Film Festival Screenwriting Competition, while his script "That Smell" is a finalist at the 2017 Milledgeville Film Festival.In addition to having had many of his screenplays produced, Allen has worked on several assignments, including writing an untitled animated feature for Singapore's Egg Story Creative Productions.As a journalist, he has won three Associated Press Managing Editors Awards for feature writing.
