Jason has been playing music since he was 16 years old. He first learned how to play guitar by watching Eric Clapton Unplugged on MTV. He then studied film production and writing at Boston University, and began writing songs. He moved to New York City, where he worked as a television and film editor, shooter, and producer. During his career at MTV's news and documentary division, he developed the interview show All Eyes On for MTV, which profiled stars like 50 Cent and Jay-Z, and produced segments for shows like Diary and Live 8. He was an editor on IFC's Rank, a documentary about the competitive world of professional bull-riding, and then Universal Soldier: Regeneration, both directed by John Hyams. Hyams directed music videos for Jason's band Leroy Justice, and eventually brought him on as composer for the series Z Nation. Jason will work with Hyams again on "Maniac Cop," produced by Nicolas Winding Refn (Drive). Jason has been a prolific musician for several years, leading a band that has released an album on Universal, and has performed at the South by Southwest, Firefly, and Mountain Jam Music Festivals.
