Born in the United Kingdom in 1970 to Indian parents. Jasbinder shot his first short film at the early age of 15 yrs old. He developed his film and music production company "New Atlantis Productions" in 1995. As a composer and music artist Jasbinder's first project "The Sandkings", was a critical and commercial success, achieving three UK independent chart hits. Jasbinder would write and direct the successful music video "Earth Wheel".In 1995 Jasbinder directed the short science fiction feature film/music video concept "Spaceman". Jasbinder would go on to sign an exclusive Worldwide production deal with Warner Brothers UK and later the EMI group.In 1996 Jas developed a visual/music project "Babylon Zoo", writing and selling the concept to "Levis" as a visual and music advert broadcasted in over 30 countries. The first Babylon Zoo Album "Boy with the X-ray eyes" would go on to sell 5 million copies and achieving 21 number one hit records worldwide at the time entering the Guinness book of records as the fastest selling record of all-time.
