James first got bit by the acting bug in high school. In the space of two years, he went from supporting roles in one-act comedies and social dramas on stage to starring as Tevye in a youth summer stock production of "Fiddler on the Roof". He also developed a love for broadcasting his senior year, forming a 'mobile music' business with two friends and acting as the principle disc jockey. After graduation, he landed a job as a weekend overnight DJ on Tulsa's KRAV-FM. Even though he let himself get sidetracked from the performing arts in 1980, he continued to dabble in it over the next 25 years by occasionally doing community theater as well as commercial voice-over and movie extra work. Finally, after being laid off from his 'cube farm' job in 2008, he decided to get back into acting and became a regular extra for the third season of the TV series, "Friday Night Lights".While on the set of "FNL", James met one of the Producers for the independent company, Ponderous Productions. After meeting and working with the Ponderous Family on "The Innocence Saga, pt VI: Easy Way to Die", James was hooked. To date, he has been in four Ponderous productions and is looking forward to the next Ponderous project and another opportunity to work with "some of the best people in show business!" Show less «
