Before writing for film and television James Dormer was a ministerial advisor and speech-writer. In addition to acting as a liaison to No 10 on EU issues he served in New Delhi as a diplomat, where he was part of the team that co-ordinated State visits by the Queen, the Prime Minister and the Royal Yacht Britannia.
