James Bearb was born and raised in Acadiana, between the Atchafalaya Swamp and Vermillion River, in and around Lafayette, Louisiana. As a child, James dreamed of a career in the entertainment industry, an option not available in the region at the time.In 2001, James left home to attend the University of New Orleans, where he later received his Bachelor of Arts in Film, Television and Communications. At 19, Bearb moved to Los Angeles on an exchange program and attended California State University Northridge. While in college Bearb was a member of the UNO Deans list, Lakefront Players, Psychology Department Webmaster and interned at Clear Channel Communications. He was published as co-author in South Eastern Psychological Association research presentation and responsible for helping create the UNO Master Series coordinating David Fincher to speak at the UNO campus. During his final semester at the University of New Orleans James Bearb interned in the properties department under the direction of Hope Parrish on the feature film, Curious Case of Benjamin Button while also working as a casting assistant on two television series.In 2005 James Bearb created Hollywood South Casting Database, LLC, a Louisiana based casting company specializing in commercial, film and television casting. During his time in the industry Bearb has learned and worked alongside the most talented and accredited in the business and has been cited in the New York Times, National Public Radio and Australian Broadcasting Corporation for his involvement in the entertainment industry.
