Born in Newnan, Georgia in 1988, Colby established himself as an artist on multiple mediums from drawing to painting to performing arts starting at a young age. It wasn't until he was 17 that he had a chance to prove himself when he wrote, produced, directed and starred in a 5-act stage play in his hometown of Grantville, GA, which ultimately led him what he wanted to do with his life; film.In 2006, after the film industry in Georgia grew exponentially, Colby jumped on the bandwagon by taking Extra role after Extra role in order to get his foot in the door. An independent film called "The Fat Boy Chronicles" gave him the on-set experience he was looking for in 2009 and Colby moved up from there.Since "The Fat Boy Chronicles," Colby has worked on multiple feature and short sets, directed commercials, short films, co-wrote, co-directed, edited and shot "Red River Ode," an award-winning short film that won top 5 and a Founders Circle award at the Louisiana Film Prize in 2013 and most recently did cinematography and editing for "The Ninth," another short film in the spotlight for the 2014 Louisiana Film Prize.Colby is always hard at work on multiple film projects.
