Ivan Yurukov is one of the biggest hopes among the actors of the newest generation in Bulgaria. He received nomination for Asceer award for two years 2006 and 2007. He graduated in the National Academy of Theater and Film Arts - Sofia, Bulgaria in 2004 in the class of prof. Stefan Danailov. Among his roles in the theater are Berdrjih in "Unveiling" (Vernisaz) from Vaclav Havel. Alyosha in "The Valley of the dead shadow" based on "The Karamazov Brothers" from Dostoevsky in Sfumato theater. Since 2005 he is in the theatrical company of the National theater "Ivan Vazov", where he plays Mamillius in "The Winter's tale" from Shakespeare, Alberto in "Good night, Patricia" from Aldo de Benedetti, Sganarelle "The Doctor in Spite of Himself" by Moliere, Dmitrii in "Running strangers" by Aleksey Kazantzev, Viscount dio Nanjack in "The ideal man" by Oscar Wilde, Domingo in "Doomed souls" by Dimitar Dimov, Rodion Raskolnikov in "Crime and Punishment" by Dostoevsky. Acknowledgement for his talent he receive from the cinema too. His movie "Laura", of which he is a director and cameraman, won the film fest "Cinemasport" in February. In the festival there were 50 other movies, made for one day. The teams have had only 168 hours for shooting the whole material. But that's not all: Ivan Yurukov was the first Bulgarian actor, who, along with his colleague Lubomir Kovachev recreated perfectly the first gay kiss ever showed in a movie or television show in Bulgaria, in the television series "Zabranena Lubov" (Forbidden Love), where the handsome young actor plays the character Valery Kadiev.
