They practiced their music in a shed Isaac built next to his mother's trailer; it was called "The Shed"...Modest Mouse released several albums, "Modest Mouse" in 1994, "This is a Long Drive for Someone With Nothing to Think About" and "Interstate 8" in 1996, "The Fruit that Ate Itself" and "The Lonesome Crowded West" (their breakthrough album) in 1997. "The Moon and Antarctica" came out in 1999 with "Building Something out of Nothing". In 2001, they released "Everywhere and His Nasty Parlor Tricks" and a 'lost-album' known as "Sad Sappy Sucker" (An album released by K Records, which was intended to be Modest Mouse's debut)In 2002, Isaac worked on a side-project called "Ugly Casanova", which came from a deranged fan by the name of Ugly Casanova. He sent lyrics to Isaac and begged him to make them into music. Thus, Isaac formed "Ugly Casanova", a one-time.In 2004, they released "Good News for People Who Love Bad News", which became an instant hit. Modest Mouse soon became very popular and made several TV appearences on shows like: "Saturday Night Live", "Austin City Limits", and "Last Laugh 2004". Modest Mouse had also been featured on FOX's new TV show, "The O.C.", in which they played a few hits at a local pub in the series (songs included Paper Thin Walls, and The View). In 2001, the band suffered the exit of a long-time friend, drummer Jeremiah Green. He was temporarily replaced with another drummer, Benjamin Weikel (who appeared courtesy of Sub Pop Records) But recently, Jeremiah Green has returned to Modest Mouse and began touring with MM this Summer.
