Ioana Blaj studied Ion Cojar's method acting at National University of Theatre and Film from Bucharest and then earned her master's degree in acting at the same university. She went on to play in various theatre shows, most notably Kenneth Lonergan's "This Is Our Youth", and movies like Terry Gilliam's The Zero Theorem (2013), starring Christoph Waltz, or America, venim!
