Imogen Ross is an Australian filmmaker born in Newcastle, NSW now living in Sydney, NSW. She originally began her career in news and broadcast television editing and production co-ordinating for Channel 9 and Channel 7, Sydney.She quickly moved onto producing commercials, films and online series before moving her efforts completely into directing professionally. Ross is best known for her dramatic and provocative film - 'Absit' (completed 2017) which acclaimed stellar reviews worldwide. In early 2019 Absit was sold to AMC Network's cable and online film streaming service 'Shorts.TV'.Ross won a membership and entry into the prestigious AACTA (Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts) in September, 2019 for her emerging impact in the Australian film-making industry. She specialises as a Director for short films, TV and features. She began her collaboration with Billy Rokos in 2018 to establish Neon Black Pictures, a highly regarded film and commercial production company.She has a well regarded cinematic portfolio including Luna (2016), The Last Orthodontist (2016), If Anyone Asks (2016) for which have received various nominations such as Premio Tortoreto alla Cultura 'Best Short Film' in 2017.Ross also worked as a co-producer on many of her projects under Neon Black Pictures.In 2019 she was nominated for 'Best Director' for her work in Ghoul Power (2019).
