Filmmaker, director, producer and actor Ilyes Belayel was born on December 8, 1996, in Ain Benian, Algeria. An amateur filmmaker as a child, he moved to Montreal, Canada on Juily 19, 2006. He studied Communications, Media and Studio Arts at Vanier College where he graduated in 2017.He received The Jury Grande Price for his Short film Forgotten Day (2017) at the Vanier Video Festival in 2017.
