Howie was born at Illinois Masonic Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. As a child he had blonde hair and brown eyes. He enjoyed spending time at the beach and with animals, he especially liked to catch frogs, snakes, and turtles. He also was a baseball fan, an excellent t-ball player and loved to play video games. He was always envious of the ocean and the palm trees. In the summer before 8th grade, he injured his hand playing with fireworks, his father had warned him the day before to be careful with explosives. Most of his life he lived in Chicago. In the late 1970's and early 1980's, his mother and father took him to California and Florida. Howie always had many friends and has always been pretty loud. During high school, he went to many parties. He has always been a huge non-smoker, non-drinker and non-drug user. He found it difficult at times fitting in as the non-sober student. Later in life, Howie did drink a little bit, but it was only to gain courage to approach the ladies. This phase in his life did not last very long. In his early 20's, Howie attended Southern Illinois University as a student. A year later he attended the University of South Florida in Tampa. After college, he went into sales. He has never forgotten his meteorology dreams and he will become a weatherman one day. One of Howie's role models in life has been his great friend, Dave (aka Super-Dave). They met while Howie was working out a gym. Dave possessed all the qualities Howie admires: intelligence, enthusiasm, persona, confidence, business qualities and he was a very dominant skirt chaser. Dave could walk up to any woman, anytime, any place. Super-Dave was also substance free (no alcohol, no drugs, no smoking). He helped mold Howie into the person he is today.
