Misouri-born (Macon) Henderson Forsythe was a respected stage actor on Broadway, and was also known for his 30-year run as "Dr. David Stewart" on the iconic soap opera As the World Turns (1956). He won a Tony Award in 1979 for his work in "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" and later played the role again in London's West End. He didn't appear in too many films--only about 10 over a 25-year period--preferring to devote most of his time to stage and television work.He died in Williamsburg Landing, Virginia, in 2006 at age 88.
