Hasse Brontén was born on March 19, 1967 in Sweden as Hans Roland Brontén. He grew up in a bilingual home in Stockholm with his German mom Uta, Swedish dad Roland and his three brothers.Between 1988 - 1991 Hasse attended the Swedish Police Academy and after graduating he worked 15 years within the police force. He worked in uniform, in plain clothes, at Säpo (Swedish FBI), as an investigator and captain.In 2004, Hasse made his stand up debut at the classic comedy club Norra Brunn in Stockholm, while still working as a police officer. It was a success and in 2005 he was awarded "Rookie of the Year" at the Swedish Standup Awards.In 2006 Hasse decided to quit the police force and made a huge career change to truly follow his passion for acting and comedy. He has worked professionally as a stand up comedian and actor in Sweden ever since. However, he still uses the experience from working in the police force as the job often required playing different roles in different situations, much like acting.Hasse has been seen in crime TV series such as Gåsmamman (2015). He has done voice dubbing in Swedish for characters such as Mantis in all Kung Fu Panda (2008) films and Grub in the animated film Epic: La bataille du royaume secret (2013). He has also been a TV host for crime solving series Efterlyst (1991) and humor series I Lagens namn.Hasse also runs the very popular podcast Snutsnack where he talks to police officers who share experiences from their professional lives.Hasse is a writer and actor, known for Sven Gunnar (2020), Meningen med Hugo (2012), Torkel & Morteza: Teaser 2 (2011) and Varannan vecka (2006).
