Hanneke was named one of the 25 Screenwriters to watch by Movie Maker Magazine and the Austin Film Festival in 2018. Her second feature film Meerkat Moonship won the FIPRESCI critics prize at the Schlingel Film Festival in Germany and has been invited to screen at over 25 international film festivals.
