Guy Adkins was born in Lansing, Michigan on October 3rd, 1968. He grew up in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin and studied dance and musical theatre at the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire. He spent years honing his craft in Chicago, IL, where he became a highly respected, well-lauded and beloved presence in both musical theatre and straight plays. In 2007 he toured the country playing opposite Molly Ringwald as Oscar Lindquist in "Sweet Charity", and in 2008 he moved to New York City - where he achieved rapid success - snagging roles on NBC's "Kings" and a hilarious cameo turn on "30 Rock". His last role was as Chris in the independent film "The David Dance", which filmed in early 2009 and was released in 2015. Guy was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic colon cancer in 2009, while filming "The David Dance", and died on may 12, 2010. He was a bright, shining light in the world, as an actor and especially as a human being. He wrote a book about his journey through cancer called "Tales from a Candyman". Show less «
