Award-winning writer and director, Grísel Wilson, was born in Guatemala City in 1960. Her passion for films, acting and writing had to wait until her late 40's when her three sons were adults. Grísel and her husband Lee Wilson moved from California to Tucson, Arizona in 2005 where she worked as an AD for local filmmakers. Being a natural advocate for social issues, Grísel wrote the script of her film Ambiguity, Crónica De Un Sueño Americano, which she directed. The film has won several awards ranging from Best Feature Film to Best Director. Her recent story Ixmucané Pastor has already won awards as best drama at the Oaxaca Film Festival and the Golden Palm Award at the Mexico International Film Festival.
