Griffin was born in Calgary, Alberta to Karen Cork (or Karen Johnson-Diamond), a theatre actress, and Kevin Cork, a former actor turned financial planner.When he was six years old, Griffin was taken to "A Christmas Carol" at Theatre Calgary. Watching the performers on stage, he turned to his mother and said "I want to do that.". His mother simply said "Okay", and Griffin's career went from there.Griffin is a Calgary based actor who has been working professionally in the theatre, film and voice-over industry for over ten years. He won his Junior High School's Drama Award all three years he attended, and enrolled in Drama Classes at William Aberhart High School and Central Memorial Performing and Visual Arts Program. Griffin was trained in voice and singing by Scott Henderson, one of the vocal coaches on The Voice. He spent years training with Quest Theatre, Calgary Young People's Theatre, and Theatre Works. Griffin spent 6 years at the theatre summer intensive Artstrek run by Theatre Alberta, he was the D. Michael Dobbin Apprentice at Alberta Theatre Projects and is currently attending the University of Alberta pursuing his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting. He also spent one year studying at the University of Lethbridge in the same program Griffin was deemed an Arts Champion of Calgary in 2012 by Calgary Arts Development Association and His Worship, Naheed Nenshi. He is the Artistic Producer and a Co-Founder of Hoodlum Theatre, and won the Duval Lang Theatre for Young Audience Emerging Leader Award at the Betty Mitchells for his work with them. Griffin had his first professional film role in Grade 5 when he was cast in The Ron Clark Story and acted along Matthew Perry (Friends, The Whole Nine Yards). He then continued to work with such names in film like William B. Davis (X-Files), Nathan Lee Graham (Zoolander, Zoolander 2, Scrubs), Michael Landon Jr. (When Calls The Heart) and Grant Harvey (Orphan Black, Heartland). Griffin is the former host of the talk show Studio 315 on Shaw TV. He has been seen on Heartland (CBC) and Pet Heroes (CMTV) and has a reoccurring lead role on the series Galaxy Trek (vTV) as Ensign Bennett Masters and on Abracadavers (Telus Optik) as Chris.Griffin enjoys stage fighting, photography, poetry, sound design, video games and sends love to his family.
