Gretchen Egolf grew up in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where she began acting in theater as a child. After high school, she attended the Juilliard School for drama in New York and has been living and working in New York and Los Angeles ever since. Aside from her numerous Broadway, off-Broadway, West End, and regional theater credits, Gretchen was a series regular on "Journeyman" (NBC) and "Martial Law" (CBS), and played the recurring characters of "Vanessa Whitaker," in "Roswell" (WB), and "ADA Kendra Gill on "Law and Order SVU" (NBC). She appeared as Jackie's wife in "Gleason" (CBS movie), starring opposite Brad Garrett, and as John Stamos' wife in the Lifetime movie "The Two Mr. Kissels." She has guest starred on numerous shows: "Law and Order," "Lie to Me," "CSI: Miami," "Criminal Minds," "The Good Wife," "Without a Trace," "NCIS," and "Medium," among others. She has also played series regular roles in the pilots "Leap of Faith," (NBC) "The Corsairs," (ABC) and "Eden" (USA). Gretchen's film experience has been varied and includes roles in Mira Nair's "The Namesake," Anthony Minghella's "The Talented Mr. Ripley," and Robert Redford's "Quiz Show," as well as the independent films "Social Grace" and "Nicolas."
