Glen Baisley had a passion for writing and the entertainment industry ever since he was a child. As a pre-teen, he created stop motion short films with his father's 8mm camera. At the age of 13, he was writing software and hardware reviews for Rainbow Magazine. By the time he was a sophomore in high school he had his own local public access show where he won a community service award. His controversial subject matter tackled topics like teenage pregnancy, suicide and alcoholism.Throughout his college years, Glen freelanced as a videographer and interned at WHUD radio station. He studied radio and television broadcasting and studied under author Rick Moody to write a novel for his senior thesis. The novel was called Of Light & Dark, based on a post apocalyptic story he had written in the eighth grade. The title would later become the inspiration for the name of his company - Light & Dark Productions.In 2001, Glen self-distributed his first movie, Fear of the Dark, which had caused an uproar with his hometown arts committee for its graphic imagery. He went on to create a prequel, The Tenement, which was featured in Fangoria magazine and later distributed by Brain Damage Films. Sins of the Father and Fear of the Dark were also released by Brain Damage Films.Glen took a break from filmmaking to focus on his family and eventually made a comeback with a fourth movie in his "Black Rose Killer" series, Fairview Falls. During his hiatus, he also made cameo appearances in various movies including Kamal Ahmed's (Jerky Boys) movie, Rapturious.His latest work has included a web series, Tales of Light & Dark, and numerous freelance projects including working as an editor on the Rondo Award nominated documentary, The Phantom of the Opera: Unmasking the Masterpiece and director of photography on some of the extras for the Shout! Factory collector's editions of Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight and Tales from the Crypt: Bordello of Blood. He has also worked on several projects with puppeteer, Bill Diamond.Glen has been featured in numerous magazine and newspaper articles throughout the years including the New York Times.
