In 1986, Brand went to Moscow with William Gibson's "Rag Dolly" as part of the first international exchange between the United States and the former Soviet Union. He has performed at some of the nation's top regional theaters, including the Kennedy Center, Seattle Rep, South Coast Rep, Cincinnati Playhouse, the Hollywood Bowl, the Geffen and the Mark Taper Forum.
