Gianfranco Terrin, born in Naples, is an Italian actor known for Disney Channel's TV Show "Disney Movie Surfers", a show that goes behind the scenes of the latest Disney movies. He filmed many promotional pieces for Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean, High School Musical, National Treasure, Wall-E, Ratatouille, Bolt, Tron Legacy, Alice in Wonderland, A Christmas Carol and Prince of Persia. His career began in Italy at the age of ten, and by 16 he appeared in the first Italian TV Series "Un Posto Al Sole". He was featured in significant Italian films, theater and television projects, including "Rosa Funzeca", written and directed by Aurelio Grimaldi. He played the role of Adam in the Italian Theatre presentation of "The Shape of Things" by Neil LaBute. Gianfranco trained at the Lee Strasberg Institute in Los Angeles, where he was the first actor to be awarded a full 2 year scholarship by the legendary Anna Strasberg. His American career includes work with Hollywood stars such as George Clooney (a national commercial for Fastweb), Zac Efron, Jake Gyllenhaal, Garrett Hedlund, Olivia Wilde, Academy Winner Andrew Stanton, Kevin Lima, Kenny Ortega, Jerry Brucheimer. He starred in "Bobby Fischer Live", and "Marlon Brando Unauthorized" directed by Damian Chapa (Blood In Blood Out - Street Fighter). Recently, he was cast in Ben Affleck 's "Live By Night", produced by Leonardo Di Caprio, playing the role of Camine. In Francis Ford Coppola's "Distant Vision", Gianfranco took the role of Luigino, a "live cinema" production of three generations of an Italian-American family whose history spans the development of television. Gianfranco co-starred in the CBS television show, "Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders", as the medical examiner, Marco Betti. Considered by the Italian media to be "the young Al Pacino", Gianfranco is equally comfortable performing in Italian and English. He is in pre-production for the upcoming "79 A.D. Pompeii, The Musical".
