Gerry Ferretti was born in Massapequa and began acting at an early age in local theater and singing in churches and school. He attended The American Academy of Dramatic Arts from 1986-1987. Working mostly in theater in his early days, he started his own Murder Mystery Theater group and wrote and produced murder mysteries and comedy shows for ten years. For many years he worked and performed in tribute shows as Elvis, Neil Diamond, Dean Martin and many others. During this time, he followed his true passion and wrote and produced his first theatrical production, a musical comedy entitled Bridge The Gap, a story of a 70s garage band that reconnects in their 50's and has their first hit song after decades apart. Originally written as a screenplay he converted it into a play and wrote all the music and lyrics for it. In 2017 Gerry wrote, produced and starred in his first original feature film, The Mark, about a hit-man who gets contracted to hit himself. Playing to sold out crowds in local theaters since 2018 and entering the festival circuit, it won Most Iconic Neo-Noir Film at the 2019 LA Neo-Noir Film Festival in Los Angeles. Gerry also is the creator and director of the hugely successful New York Long Island Film Festival (NYLIFF) in Seaford Long Island - which he proudly bills as the "Film Festival for Everyone!". Gerry can be seen in his own You Tube series - The "Nobodies" series, which he created and started with Nobodies In Cars Running Errands, a parody of the series Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee. He Is also creator and host of Nobodies Talking Politics as well as Nobodies Talking many other subjects from baseball to movies. An accomplished musician, singer songwriter, Gerry wrote and produced his first CD, "Just Like Me" and the soundtrack to Bridge The Gap. He is the front man of his band, The Mutant Kings, which performs music from the 50's to the 70's as well as his original songs. His production company, Ferretti Films is the producer of his original short film, "Essence" and he is writing a sequel to The Mark. Show less «
