George Letrell was born the youngest and only boy of three children and raised in the diverse community of Crown Heights in Brooklyn, New York. Unlike many of the kids in his neighborhood, he had the unique experience of being raised by both parents in a warm family. Even with his solid foundation, it took a quick brush with the law (a huge wake-up call), sheer determination, big dreams and a desire to make his parents proud for George to make the resolve to become more than a product of his often tough urban environment. Deep down, George always felt he was destined for something big and jumped over every hurdle to become a fixture in the entertainment industry early in his career, appearing in pioneering music videos, magazines and classic urban movies as an actor, rapper and model. His professional work in the 1990's put him in direct contact with several celebrity hip-hop and R&B artists, with whom he formed great working and personal relationships. In awe of his chiseled physique, many of the same colleagues solicited George for personal training and physical development. A part-time hobby of keeping fit quickly grew into a lucrative new career path for 10 years. He eventually opened a boutique fitness studio of his own.In 2012, George made a triumphant return to his ultimate passion-acting. He has been cast in principal roles in several independent projects including "Drug Affected" and "Dead of the Night." He can also be seen in major broadcast network programs, including Elementary, Hostages, The Following, Boardwalk Empire, The Blacklist and Blue Bloods. George's most recent on-screen achievement is an appearance in the Golden Globe award-winning and highly acclaimed film, "The Wolf of Wall Street," where he played an FBI agent.George Letrell is (January 2014) currently hard at work on an original project he has written and will direct in 2014. As a visionary, George already sees the independent project's potential as a short film or TV Pilot. "I am already working out the budget and will begin fund raising efforts shortly." George feels life's ups and downs, his experiences and worldwide travels have all had a part in preparing him for success as an actor, writer, and producer. But acting is only part of the legacy George wants to leave behind for his children. While developing his acting career, George is additionally intent on paying it forward in a positive way. He continues to motivate individuals toward a healthy lifestyle and mentor young folks to help them frame a path for future success as smart, confident entrepreneurs, independent thinkers and all around productive members of society.
