Gayla Prewitt is an award-winning screenwriter and holds a graduate certificate in screenwriting from UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television. Her screenplays have placed as official selections in the Scriptapalooza competition, the Faith and Film International Festival, and the International Christian Film Festival. In addition, she received Honorable Mention in the 2017 International Christian Film Festival for her Seed Police screenplay. She was a semi-finalist in the 2019 Page Awards first ten pages contest for her screenplay, Sincerely Charles. Three of her screenplays placed as official selections in the 2020 International Christian Film Festival with one of those, Verified, named as an official nomination.
