The daughter of acclaimed screenwriter and novelist Gabrielle B. Burton and Roger Burton, Gabrielle grew up in Buffalo, NY. She began technical work in film as a sound mixer and moved into producing when she co-produced the romantic comedy Just Friends (1997). She helms the production company Five Sisters Productions with her four sisters Maria Burton, Jennifer Burton, Ursula Burton, and Charity Burton.
