Gabriel Arout was born on January 28, 1909 in Nakhichevan, Azerbaïdjan. He was a writer and actor, known for Du rififi chez les femmes (1959), L'inconnu de Shandigor (1967) and La patrouille des sables (1954). He died on February 12, 1982 in Paris, France.
