Friedrich Schoenfelder was born in 1916 as an architect's son in Sorau. He grew up in Frankfurt/Oder, Wickersdorf and Berlin. Following high school he was admitted to the Acting Class of the Prussian State Theater in Berlin, where he also received his first contract from 1936 to 1939. Returning from war and war imprisonment in 1946, he became a member of the State-Theatre Stuttgart. In 1951 he advanced to performing at the City-Theatre Frankfurt/Main. From 1958 his engagements at Berlin theaters prevailed. Some other major stops in his career: Frankfurt/Main, Bad Hersfeld, Zurich, Burgfestspiele Jagsthausen, Munich, Dusseldorf, Dresden and Hamburg. He completed numerous tours throughout Germany. He starred in different movies since 1948, and worked for TV ever since 1956. His activities in dubbing are vast. He was a very elegant, distinguished and smooth gentleman-actor. Show less «
