Francesco Carril (Madrid, 1986) has a graduate degree in Textual Interpretation by the Royal College of Dramatic Art in Madrid (2008).Since 2009 leads the troupe Saraband, with which he released four shows as director: 'Fragments', 'Fedra', 'The best intentions' and 'Life During Wartime'.Francesco Carril combines theater direction with its interpretative work. As an actor he has worked under some of the best directors in the current scene (Miguel del Arco, Eduardo Vasco, Alvaro Lavin, Josep Maria Mestres) and has been a member of the second graduating class of the National Youth Classical Theatre Company. It has been awarded Best Actor at the International Independent Film Festival Buenos Aires for his role in the film 'Los ilusos', by Jonás Trueba, for which he also won an award at the Festival of Toulose Cinespaña. In 2015 he played the main role in 'Los exiliados románticos', by Jonás Trueba as well.Francesco Carril completed his formal training with Will Keen, Natalia Menéndez, Helena Pimenta, Eduardo Vasco, David Puerta and Javier Sánchez in the National Classical Theatre Company, as well as in the JCNTC with Vicente Fuentes.He has conducted numerous workshops interpretive, physical and vocal technique with teachers like Roberta Carreri (Odin Teatret), Lenard Petit, Joanna Merlin, Slava Kokorin, Ted Pugh, Fern Sloan and Ragnar Freidank (The Michael Chekhov Association in the United States and Canada) Viewpoints technique with Michael Stubblefield and Marco Alotto, Paolo Mannina and Marika Pugliatti, among others.
