Frances Owens, a native of Virginia Beach, VA., is an Actress/Voiceover Artist with an amazingly distinctive voice, who has studied the Meisner Technique and Voiceover from the very talented and well known Keith Flippen, of The Actors' Place, Inc., for a number of years; she has also studied with the former owner of The Actors' Place, Inc., the well known Sylvia Harman.Frances has shown her talent and skills on film and stage as well as behind the mic. She has received accolades regarding her performances as to how natural and believable she is on film, as well as her ability to capture the audience on stage. No matter the style of performance, her voice leaves her signature.Her recent feature film credit is Underground directed my Gerard McMurray who was the Associate Producer of Fruitvale Station. Frances recent television credit is Death by Gossip (Mothers Day Murder); she also has a recurring role as Detective Helen Weaver on Precinct 757. Frances captured the audience with her story telling, as the Lady in Green in For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When The Rainbow Is Enuf at the Generic Theater in Norfolk, VA. She has also worked on a number of films; a short film entitled Little Walter Hidgins was recently shown at The Historic Gruman's Chinese Theater in Los Angeles, CA.
