Fermín Garcés was born in a working family in 1932 in Valtierra, a small town in Navarra. His father died of cancer when he was only twelve years old and had to combine school with selling fish on the street to help financially at home. He is the third of six brothers and with one of them he learned to drive a truck to become a carrier. He then joined Guardia Civil. He is currently married and has two children. Three of his granddaughters are Civil Guards. He is retired and was decorated with the cross of merit with a red badge. Show less «
