Actress Fagun was born in Leicester, England. She moved to London when she was accepted at University College London to study medicine and later trained in acting at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.She has starred alongside Martin Sheen in 'Bhopal' A prayer for Rain', a true story based on the biggest industrial disaster in human history, which will be theatrically released in 2014. She recently filmed a Hollywood movie 'Basmati Blues' with Donald Sutherland, Scott Bakula and Tyne Daly.At an early age, Fagun entered and won 'Bolly Idol', the BBC's nationwide search for new acting talent, beating thousands of other British hopefuls. A straight 'A' student, Fagun also studied several particularly challenging disciplines at the same time - so much so that Fagun's exceptional educational experience was featured in an ITV News segment in the UK and she was spotted by a director for the film 'Brick Lane'. After these preliminary successes, Fagun then put her acting career on hold to study at the prestigious medical school.During a Christmas break at University, she was offered the lead in an independent film project 'Blood and Curry'. After reading the script, she felt compelled to play the role of an emotionally demanding, domestically abused woman. After filming, she wanted to help the victims of this form of abuse and became the international spokeswoman for SAHARA (South Asian Helpline And Referral Agency), a culturally sensitive organisation that supports women.Fagun was hand-picked by internationally acclaimed director, Shekhar Kapur, to be the first person ever to perform on the official Red Carpet at the Cannes Film Festival, to open his new film 'Bollywood: The Greatest Love Story Ever Told.' Fagun has also appeared in numerous commercials across the world including Europe, the Middle East and India for well-known international brands such as 'IBM', 'Vodaphone' and 'L'Oreal'. In addition to her film credits, she has also acted on the stage, performing in several Shakespeare plays.With her precious talent, Fagun has firmly established herself as one of the breakout stars to watch out for and is lighting up the big screen internationally to increasing critical acclaim.
